The nation’s largest vertical farm company unveiled its newest location Thursday, May 26, 2022 at a 1,000-acre component of the Bethlehem Commerce Center along Route 412.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and local dignitaries were on hand Thursday in Bethlehem to celebrate the opening of Bowery Farming’s third and largest facility across its Mid-Atlantic footprint.

Manhattan-based Bowery Farming Inc., known for developing national indoor farms with crops stacked vertically floor to ceiling, broke ground in December 2020 on its most technologically advanced project yet. Bowery Bethlehem is in LVIP VII, a 1,000-acre component of the Bethlehem Commerce Center along Route 412 that Lehigh Valley Industrial Park Inc. began developing in 2004 on former Bethlehem Steel Corp. land.
